Celebrating KCH Team Members & Agency Progress

NP Connect Award

On May 13th, Nonprofit (NP) Connect gathered the best of Kansas City’s leaders in nonprofit and community work at its 41st annual Awards Celebration, This Is Why We Do It. The celebration is NP Connect’s signature event and KC’s oldest and largest recognition of nonprofit excellence.

Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (KCH) was honored to not only be in attendance at this year’s event, but to be the recipient of the 2025 Equity in Action Award.

As KCH President & CEO David Wiley said during the event, “The reason we were thrilled to win this award is based on our efforts to continue to serve the greater Kansas City area with the same bright, caring, compassionate people who have made us the area’s largest nonprofit provider of end-of-life care for a reason: we have the expertise, the community support, and we’re very lucky and proud of our team.”

David also mentioned, “I’m very proud of those members of our team who – for the past five years – raised their hand, and said yes to the offer to help us be a better company. Many team members involved in the agency’s progress were in attendance to celebrate the award.”

Congratulations to KCH team members for your efforts!
