We are seeking caring community volunteers to help create memorial hearts made of fabric for families served at Kansas City Hospice House.
These handmade hearts are a meaningful keepsake, made out of fabric and given to families after a patient passes. Each heart serves as a reminder of love, connection, and cherished memories during their time of grief.
Volunteers will assist in cutting fabric, ironing pieces of fabric and putting ribbon and beads.
Memorial hearts offer families a lasting piece of their loved one to hold onto. Your time and care help bring comfort and healing in a way words often cannot.
Supplies provided. Will require cutting fabric and ironing.
Do Good Days are monthly service project opportunities designed for individuals and community groups who want to give back in a meaningful way. This includes students (14+) seeking community service hours, as well as employer or community groups that are not registered hospice volunteers.
Important Notes:
- All activities are NON-PATIENT FACING and focus on supporting our patients, families, and care providers.
- Project supplies are provided.
- Please sign up only for tasks that you or your group can complete within the scheduled time.
- If verification of hours is needed, bring document to the event.
