As we look ahead to Veterans Day the following month, we invite our community to come together in honoring the men and women who have served our country and are now in our hospice care.
We are seeking volunteers to help with special projects in preparation for this important day of recognition. These efforts ensure that our veteran patients feel seen, appreciated, and honored for their service.
Volunteer activities may include assembling recognition items, creating personalized cards, preparing small keepsakes, making flag decor for Kansas City Hospice House with patriotic touches.
This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families, schools, civic groups, and organizations to give back in a meaningful and heartfelt way. Supplies provided. No experience needed.
Do Good Days are monthly service project opportunities designed for individuals and community groups who want to give back in a meaningful way. This includes students (14+) seeking community service hours, as well as employer or community groups that are not registered hospice volunteers.
Important Notes:
- All activities are NON-PATIENT FACING and focus on supporting our patients, families, and care providers.
- Project supplies are provided.
- Please sign up only for tasks that you or your group can complete within the scheduled time.
- If verification of hours is needed, bring document to the event.
