Christy Scales Casillas Family Food Fund

Honor Christy or a loved one by providing nourishment at a time when it's needed most.

Donations to the Christy Scales Casillas Family Food Fund will provide food and nourishment to friends and family visiting loved ones at the Kansas City Hospice HouseTM.

Every year, thousands of people walk through the doors of Kansas City Hospice House, seeking comfort and care during life’s most challenging moments. In September 2024, Robert arrived to visit his wife, Christy.

Robert spent countless hours at Christy’s side, often grateful for the warm soup available on-site for lunch. Occasionally, groups provided breakfast or lunch for visiting friends and family, but otherwise, no meals were available. Robert didn’t want to leave Christy’s side to dine out. This experience resonated deeply with him: he needed something for nourishment, but was reluctant to leave.
To help others in these moments, Robert established The Christy Scales Casillas Family Food Fund. This fund provides additional food options for families visiting Kansas City Hospice House, ensuring access to fresh fruit, prepared meals, and frozen items that can be reheated anytime, day or night.

Your generosity can help sustain and expand this effort, offering comfort and nourishment to families when they need it most. Please consider contributing to The Christy Scales Casillas Family Food Fund today. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.
