Moments that Matter

Because compassion is needed in life’s most tender moments.

When Carolyn Novak’s husband Al was living with frontotemporal lobe dementia, Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care walked alongside their family during one of life’s most difficult seasons. Because of generous donor  support, Al was able to receive compassionate hospice care at home — surrounded by family, comfort, and dignity in his final weeks.

Hospice support eased the physical and emotional demands of caregiving, allowing Carolyn and her family to focus on what mattered most: being present, sharing meaningful moments, and saying goodbye in loving, natural ways. The care extended beyond Al’s death, as Kansas City Hospice continued to support Carolyn through grief counseling, support groups, and remembrance programs — resources made possible entirely through charitable giving.

Gifts to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care ensure that patients receive expert care wherever they call home and that families are supported long after a loss. Donor generosity brings comfort, dignity, and hope to those navigating serious illness and grief — when they need it most.

Make a gift today to help provide compassionate care and healing support for families across our community.
