A center for grief and healing

Solace House is uniquely designed to be a nurturing place to guide children, teens and adults through the difficult time following the death of a loved one, whether sudden and unexpected or anticipated.

It is your space to share, listen, learn and heal.

 We believe:

  • Everyone has the capacity to heal
  • Strong emotional reactions, like deep sorrow or anger, are natural reactions to the death of a loved one for children as well as adults
  • The intensity and duration of each individual’s grief is unique
  • A caring community can greatly assist in the healing process

Comfort and guidance when you need it most

Together we will explore:

  • Your grief and your family’s grief
  • Emotional, behavioral, social and spiritual responses related to loss
  • Changes in your life and how to adapt
  • Strategies for coping, connecting, communicating, memorializing and healing

"I seek strength to carry on.

I seek courage to move beyond pain.

I seek faith to believe happiness will come again.

Solace is my goal.

I can find it.

I can help others discover it.”
