Emily Riegel, MD Associate Medical Director
Dr. Emily Riegel received her BA from University of Missouri-Kansas City before attending medical school at the University of Kansas. Following medical school, she remained at the University of Kansas for her dual residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She then completed the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program through the University of Kansas and Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Medicine. For several years she was an attending physician on the Palliative Care consult service at the University of Kansas Hospital, attending physician with the Palliative Care Team at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Medical Director of Pediatric Palliative Care at the University of Kansas Hospital, and Medical Director of Carousel with Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
